Mothers raising children with ADHD and heightened emotional responses are invited to a supportive and insightful four-week program at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Held every Tuesday from November 4 through November 25, the sessions run from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and are designed to empower parents with understanding, compassion, and practical strategies.
This program focuses on the neuroscience behind emotional intensity and ADHD in children, offering plain-language explanations and actionable tools that shift the parenting approach from frustration to connection. Each week blends psychoeducation with play-based methods that help strengthen bonds, teach emotional regulation, and foster resilience—all through a child’s most natural learning state: play.
Rather than relying on punishment or control, this series provides action-based techniques rooted in empathy and communication, supporting both the child’s development and the parent’s well-being.
Sessions take place at the Patrick Heath Public Library, located at 451 North Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006. This program is especially tailored for mothers, but all caregivers seeking a deeper understanding of their neurodiverse children are welcome.
