Kids can celebrate the end of summer at the themed Luau Open Gym at Crossfire Gymnastics. This special event offers an evening of flips, games, dancing, and pizza for ages 5 to 13. Children can enjoy open gym time and plenty of summer fun while parents enjoy an evening off.

The Luau Open Gym will take place Friday, August 1, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Crossfire Gymnastics, 105 Stonegate Road, Boerne, TX 78006. Admission is $45 per child. Registration ends July 25 or when the event is full.

Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and park staff will be on site with their telescopes to point out the moon, constellations, planets and more. Drop-in any time between 8:30pm and 10:00pm!

Where: This event will be held in the large overflow parking lot (just up the road from the big river parking lot). Look for the big blue "Stargazing Tonight" sign on the park road just across from this parking lot.

Participants will learn about nature, wildlife, native plants, and whatever else the kiddos find along the way!

Activity distance will be approximately 1.25 miles on a compacted crush granite surface. Strollers welcome!

All ages welcome; minors must be accompanied by their legal guardian. No pets please.

Though the hike is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.

Moondance Outdoor Concert Series

It’s time for Moondance! Since 2000, we’ve hosted outdoor concerts under the oaks and stars at The Cibolo. Each year, visitors and locals alike have gathered as a community to enjoy live music, local vendors, and good times–a tradition that all started with friends coming together to tell stories, sing songs, and dance. From May to October (that’s right, we added a new show!), get ready for six nights of stories and songs in the heart of the Hill Country, with yard games, food trucks, Texas Chill Country Ice Cream, and a Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. beer tent.

It’s time for Moondance! Since 2000, we’ve hosted outdoor concerts under the oaks and stars at The Cibolo. Each year, visitors and locals alike have gathered as a community to enjoy live music, local vendors, and good times–a tradition that all started with friends coming together to tell stories, sing songs, and dance. From May to October (that’s right, we added a new show!), get ready for six nights of stories and songs in the heart of the Hill Country, with yard games, food trucks, Texas Chill Country Ice Cream, and a Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. beer tent.

Set up your chair or blanket, bring a cooler, and add another chapter to your story. See you there!

Join fellow bird enthusiasts of all skill levels for a guided bird survey on the third Monday of each month at Herff Farm! Explore diverse habitats—including riparian areas, savannahs, and built environments—while honing your bird ID skills and contributing valuable data to eBird.

📍 Where: Meet at Herff Farm
📅 When: Third Monday of each month

Led by a member of the Bexar Audubon Society and co-sponsored by the Cibolo Center for Conservation, this program counts toward Master Naturalist volunteer hours. Expect a relaxed pace and a few miles of mostly flat walking.
