🎭 Boerne Community Theatre
One of the best places to catch live theatre year-round is Boerne Community Theatre, located at 907 E. Blanco Road. This local nonprofit theatre is celebrating its 35th season with several productions scheduled through the end of the year.
Any Body Home?
📅 September 25–October 4
Start the season with a comedy! Any Body Home? is a fast-moving farce centered around a real estate broker attempting to hold an open house and sell a condo—but just about everything that could complicate the situation does.

🌈 Seussical Jr.
📅 October 16–25
This one should definitely be on the radar for families!
Boerne Community Theatre’s Teen Troupe takes the stage for Seussical Jr., a colorful musical inspired by the stories and characters of Dr. Seuss.
The story brings together Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, the Whos, Gertrude McFuzz and plenty of other familiar characters while exploring friendship, loyalty, family and community.
It’s also a fun opportunity to support young local performers right here in Boerne.

🔎 Ken Ludwig’s Moriarty
📅 November 6–15
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson return in this comedic mystery featuring spies, blackmail, international intrigue and, of course, Professor Moriarty.
One particularly fun detail: five actors take on more than 40 roles throughout the production.

🎄 Miracle on 34th Street
📅 December 4–20
Finish the year with a Christmas classic!
Boerne Community Theatre will bring Miracle on 34th Street to the stage throughout December, making this one to keep in mind for a festive family outing during the Christmas season.

🎬 Boerne ISD Theatre Productions
Don’t forget about our local student performers!
Boerne ISD offers theatre programs alongside its other fine arts programs, giving students opportunities to perform, create and learn both onstage and behind the scenes.
Several 2026–27 school theatre productions are still being announced, so this is an area we’ll continue updating as dates become available.
🎭 Champion High School Theatre — Fall 2026
Champion Theatre has a full season of student productions happening this fall at Samuel V. Champion High School. Supporting a school production is also a fun, affordable way to experience live theatre while cheering on talented local students.
🔮 Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit
📅 August 20–23, 2026
This witty supernatural comedy kicked off Champion Theatre’s season with ghosts, unexpected complications and plenty of humor. Since this performance has already passed, we’d mention it as part of the season but focus the fall guide on what’s coming next.
💀 William Shakespeare’s Hamlet
📅 October 15–18, 2026
One of Shakespeare’s most famous plays comes to the Champion stage this October. Hamlet follows a Danish prince wrestling with grief, betrayal and revenge after the death of his father.
🎶 Les Misérables: School Edition
📅 November 5–8, 2026
This is a BIG one to have on your fall theatre radar! The Champion Fine Arts Department will present the student edition of the beloved musical Les Misérables. Based on Victor Hugo’s novel, the musical tells a sweeping story of redemption, sacrifice, love and revolution in 19th-century France.

🎭 Boerne Middle School South — Never Trust a Man
Boerne Middle School South’s Theatre II students are presenting Never Trust a Man this fall.

🎶 Voss Middle School Fall Musical
📅 December 2026
Voss Middle School is also preparing a fall musical, with performances planned for December.
Auditions were open to students throughout the school—not just students enrolled in theatre or choir—which makes this a fun community production to keep an eye on. If you love musicals, Champion’s Les Misérables is definitely one to know about this November. It’s performed entirely by students and brings together the Fine Arts Department for one of Champion’s major productions of the fall.

The Broadway musical based on the beloved 1993 movie kicks off San Antonio's Broadway season. It follows a father who disguises himself as a Scottish nanny in an effort to spend more time with his children.
🏔️ The Sound of Music
📅 October 6–11, 2026
Maria, the von Trapp family and those familiar Rodgers & Hammerstein songs return to the stage in a touring production of the classic musical.
🌈 The Wiz
📅 October 30–31, 2026
A reimagining of The Wizard of Oz featuring a score influenced by soul, gospel, funk and R&B comes to San Antonio for Halloween weekend.
🪲 Beetlejuice
📅 November 13–15, 2026
The Broadway musical inspired by the Tim Burton film returns to the Majestic for a limited weekend run.
🎶 Buena Vista Social Club
📅 November 24–29, 2026
One of the newer Broadway productions on the San Antonio schedule, Buena Vista Social Club brings the story and music of Cuba's legendary musicians to the stage over Thanksgiving week. It's also one of the productions making its San Antonio debut during the 2026–27 Broadway season.

✨ Family Theatre at Magik Theatre
For families willing to make the drive into San Antonio, Magik Theatre is one of the best places to introduce kids to live theatre. The professional children’s theatre has been creating literature-based productions for San Antonio families since 1994.
🍪 If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
📅 October 3–25, 2026
👧 Recommended for ages 3+
⏱️ Approximately 60 minutes
The beloved children’s book comes to life on stage as Mouse turns one simple cookie into a hilariously chaotic chain of requests and adventures. This looks like an especially approachable choice for younger children or a first theatre experience. Magik also offers sensory-friendly, ASL-interpreted and Pay What You Wish performances during the run.
🎄 Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
📅 Beginning in November 2026
Magik is bringing the Grinch to the stage for the holidays! The production features familiar music including You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch and follows Max as he narrates the Grinch’s attempt to steal Christmas from Whoville. Student matinees begin November 19, with performances continuing into December.
💰 Budget tip: Magik offers designated Pay What You Wish performances. For the 2026–27 season, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie has one on October 11 at 3 PM, and The Grinch has one on November 27 at 2 PM. Regular single tickets are currently listed at $30 for adults and $25 for children ages 2–17, plus fees.
