Boerne has been BUSY! New businesses have been popping up around town, and if you haven't been able to keep up with all the openings, we've got you.
Some officially opened in August, while others opened toward the end of July or recently added regular weekly shopping hours.
From drive-thru coffee and pizza to discounted shopping and squishies, here are 8 newer Boerne-area spots to put on your radar!

🍴 NEW FOOD + DRINK
1. ☕ Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is officially open in Boerne!
We stopped by with the kids this week, and one of my favorite things about this location is the drive-thru — because with kids in the car, sometimes that makes all the difference. 😂
It's not just coffee either! They have espresso drinks, smoothies, lemonades, energy drinks and breakfast options.
We tried a smoothie and lemonade, which my kids enjoyed. I don't drink much caffeine, but they can make their espresso drinks decaf, so that's what I'm trying next!

2. 🍕 Carmella's Pizza Parlor
Have you noticed the new pizza place near 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen? That's Carmella's Pizza Parlor!
They serve hand-stretched pizzas along with salads, appetizers, oven-baked sandwiches and desserts. They also have a gluten-free pizza crust option.
🍕 Good to know: They may stop seating dine-in guests before their listed closing time. If you're planning a later dinner, check their current seating hours before heading over.

3. 🍓 Playa Bowls
Playa Bowls celebrated its Boerne grand opening at the end of July, making August its first full month in town!
They specialize in customizable açaí, pitaya and other fruit-based bowls, plus smoothies and juices.
This could be an easy breakfast, afternoon snack or treat with the kids.

4. 🍧 Chloe Belle's Shaved Ice
Another newer sweet spot is Chloe Belle's Shaved Ice!
They specialize in New Orleans-style snoballs with that super-soft, snow-like shaved ice and lots of flavors. They also serve Blue Bell ice cream.

5. 🍷 Missick Cellars
Boerne also has a new family-friendly winery!
Missick Cellars is currently soft open Fridays and Saturdays, offering Texas wines in a relaxed setting less than a mile from Main Street.
What caught our attention? They have a small playground for the kids! Families can also bring outside food to enjoy in the outdoor areas, so you can pack a picnic.

6. 🛍️ Lucky Penny
This is one I think more people need to know about!
Lucky Penny now has regular weekly shopping hours!
They bring in new merchandise at discounted prices, and inventory changes depending on what comes in. You'll find women's, men's and kids' clothing, shoes and more.
It's basically a treasure hunt — and gives you a reason to keep checking back!

7. 🐒 The Grumpy Monkey
We stopped into The Grumpy Monkey, and my kids immediately found the squishies! 😂 We picked some out, and they've definitely been a hit at our house.
They also carry clothing, accessories and cute gift items.
And they have something I haven't seen in many shops: a lounge area with a TV! It's an ideal place for husbands, dads or anyone who is finished shopping before you are. 😂

8. 👗 Monkee's of Fair Oaks
Monkee's of Fair Oaks celebrated its grand opening in August at Lemon Creek!
The boutique carries women's clothing, shoes and accessories, giving us another new place to browse when you're in the Fair Oaks/Lemon Creek area.
