Boerne football isn't limited to BISD!
The Geneva School of Boerne Eagles also take the field this fall, giving local families another team to cheer for during football season.

Now for something especially fun if you have elementary-aged kids!
Both Boerne High and Champion have programs that give younger students the chance to experience some of the Friday night excitement right on the field.
🐾 Rowdy Hounds — Boerne High
Have a future Greyhound at home? 💜
The 2026 Rowdy Hounds program is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten–5th grade.
Cost: $20
Kids receive a FREE T-shirt and get the chance to run onto the field through the tunnel with varsity football.
⚡ Charging Chargers — Champion
Future Chargers have their own opportunity too! 💙
Charging Chargers is open to BISD students in Kinder–5th grade.
Kids get to run through the tunnel following the varsity players before every Champion home game.
Cost: $25 per student
When: All Champion home games
T-shirt pickup: First two home games
Registration deadline: August 16, 2026

👧 Is a Boerne Football Game Fun With Little Kids?
YES.
Will they sit quietly and watch four quarters of football?
Probably not. 😂
But honestly, that's part of the fun.
For younger kids, a football game might be more about:

📣 Watching the cheerleaders
🍿 Picking a concession-stand snack

My mom tip: Don't put pressure on yourself to stay until the final whistle.
Go early so the kids can see everything happening before kickoff, grab some nachos, watch the band and head home when everyone has had enough.
You can still make a really fun family memory without making it through all four quarters. 😂
