Boerne ISD's longest break of the school year gives families plenty of time for holiday celebrations, travel, and a fresh start in the new year.
Spring Break

Students are also off on Monday, March 15, 2027, creating an extra-long break before returning to class.

💰 Texas Tax-Free Weekend (August 7–9, 2026)
Planning your back-to-school shopping? Texas Tax-Free Weekend is Friday, August 7, through Sunday, August 9, 2026. During these three days, you can save on qualifying clothing, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies priced under $100 per item by paying no state or local sales tax. It's a great time to stock up on essentials like notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, binders, lunch boxes, and more before the school year begins. Keep in mind that items such as computers, tablets, printers, jewelry, and most sports equipment are not included in the tax-free exemption.
🎒 Back-to-School Fun at H-E-B | Saturday, August 1
Celebrate the end of summer with free family fun at both the Boerne and Fair Oaks H-E-B locations on Saturday, August 1, from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. Families can enjoy games, activities, music, treats, and community fun as everyone gets ready for the new school year. The Fair Oaks celebration will also feature a special appearance by H-E-Buddy! It's a great way to make a few more summer memories before school starts.
