  • The Agricultural Museum & Arts Center 102 City Park Road Boerne, TX, 78006 United States (map)

Experience the timeless craft of blacksmithing in this immersive beginner class held at The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center in Boerne. Guided by instructor George, participants will learn foundational techniques used by traditional blacksmiths—heating, shaping, and bending metal using a forge—to create their own hand-forged bottle opener to take home.

The workshop takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, and is limited to just four students to ensure personalized instruction. The class is open to participants ages 16 and up, with a fee of $125 per person. All tools and materials are provided, but students are asked to bring a cold drink and sack lunch for the scheduled break.

Held on the historic grounds of The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center at 102 City Park Road in Boerne, this hands-on experience invites attendees to engage with the area’s agricultural past while learning a valuable skill rooted in craftsmanship and tradition.
