Trout Fishing Fun for All at Guadalupe River State Park

Start the new year with a splash at the Rainbow Trout Fishing Event at Guadalupe River State Park on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm. This event is perfect for anglers of all ages and skill levels looking to enjoy a day of fishing in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Cast your line for rainbow trout stocked by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Inland Fisheries Division. Whether you bring your own fishing gear or borrow from the limited supply of loaner rods and tackle (available on a first-come, first-serve basis), this is a fin-tastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.

Details:

  • Meet: At the river below the Day Use parking lot.

  • Bring: Drinking water, sun protection, sturdy shoes, and fishing gear; dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Cost: Free with park admission. Adults: $7; Children 12 & under: Free.

  • License Info: No fishing license required for those 17 and older when fishing from the riverbank at the park.

  • Reservations: Day-use reservations are highly recommended to ensure park entry.
