🔬 Event: Week-long community science bioblitz
Join the Cibolo Center for Conservation for Fall Wildlife Field Research Week, a week-long bioblitz where community scientists work together to survey the current ecological state of the Nature Center.
Participants help record observations of the environment and local wildlife, providing information used for scientific assessments and land management decisions. No previous field research experience is required—new participants are trained in the field by team leaders who provide guidance on survey methods and data recording.
This event welcomes Master Naturalists, college students, teenagers, parents with young children, and other nature enthusiasts.
This season’s surveys include ants, amphibians, aquatic species, butterflies, dragonflies & damselflies, prairie vegetation, riparian woody plants, small mammals, reptiles, and water snakes.
