While the actual day celebrates the commemoration on June 12, 1948, when President Harry S. Truman signed into law the Women’s Armed Service Integration Act allowing women to serve as regular members of the military, Texas established Women Veterans Day on June 9, 2017 designating June 12th as Women Veterans Day. Let’s remember the many stories of our Women Veterans and thank them for their military service.
