Do you enjoy watching birds in your backyard and want to take your interest a little further? Introduction to Birding is designed to help you move beyond casual birdwatching and begin building the skills to observe, categorize, and recognize birds.

Avid Audubon birders and Alamo Chapter Texas Master Naturalists Tom and Patsy Inglet will share tools, tips, and techniques for finding and identifying birds, including what to observe and how to use essential birding tools. The workshop includes both instruction and field practice to help you get started.

Tom and Patsy have taught birding basics to both children and adults and have extensive experience with bird conservation, bird banding, nest monitoring, and birding around the world.

🔭 Bring: Binoculars and a bird field guide, if you have them.
🥾 What to Wear: Long pants, dull colors, walking shoes, and a hat. Insect repellent and sunscreen are encouraged.
