Market Days in Boerne takes place at the central Main Plaza on the second weekend of the month, right in the historic heart of the town.

Available from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays, this event has become a hallmark of quality open-air shopping in Boerne. You’ll find everything from local artists and craftsmen to merchants, all set to the tune of authentic Texas music.

Enjoy a fun day exploring the market’s booths, offering everything from unique jewelry and artwork to handcrafted goods, plants, collectibles, and antiques. Have lunch at one of the food trucks or tables, and usually there’s a mobile bar set up as well! If not, grab a to-go beer down the street and bring it over!

Learn to Play: Pokémon Trading Card Game at Patrick Heath Public Library

A new monthly series invites young gamers and curious minds to learn a new tabletop game each month—starting with the beloved Pokémon Trading Card Game. Hosted in collaboration with The Boerne Hideout and the Patrick Heath Public Library, this free Learn to Play event offers a friendly, beginner-friendly environment to dive into a fun new hobby.

The first session will take place on Wednesday, October 23, at 4:15 pm. Each Learn to Play event will be held monthly on the third Thursday, providing ongoing opportunities for kids and teens to explore different games and meet fellow players in the community.

This month’s feature game, Pokémon TCG, will include instruction and support for new players to understand the rules and get a feel for gameplay. All skill levels are welcome, and materials will be provided.

The event will be held at Patrick Heath Public Library, 451 N Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP to help organizers plan for attendance:

Patrick Heath Public Library will host Merry Craftsmas for the Whole Family, an evening of holiday creativity led by Memory Lab Coordinator Sarah Habeeb. Guests will make Memory Ornaments designed to celebrate and remember loved ones—family, friends, or pets—through a personalized craft just in time to hang on Christmas trees before December 25. The event will take place on December 17 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Patrick Heath Public Library, located at 451 North Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006.

Participants are asked to RSVP and email no more than two photos to Sarah by December 12 so they can be prepared for ornament making. Guests may also share a brief story or message about the photos for inclusion in the library’s online archive, or provide their story in person during the event. All additional craft supplies will be provided, making this a fun and meaningful activity for crafters of all ages.
