It’s always one of our favorite events of the year, and we can’t wait to share a festive afternoon with our community. Come out, make memories, shop local, and enjoy the magic of the season with us from 2 PM – 5 PM.

We’ll also have our Blue Santa Toy Drive Box available for anyone who’d like to donate a new, unwrapped toy to support families right here in our area. Your generosity makes a huge difference.

Weihnachts in Boerne: A Magical Family Tradition

Get ready for small-town cheer this weekend, starting Friday, December 5th,  with a Wassail Walk and Caroling Contest along the Hill Country Mile! Participating businesses will have their spin on the warm winter drink favorite, while Carolers will be vying for your vote as they sing holiday tunes from 4-8 p.m.

The highlight of Weihnachts Weekend is the 38th annual Weihnachts Parade taking place Saturday, December 6, at 6 p.m., when downtown will light up with nearly 100 floats spreading holiday cheer along Boerne’s Main Street. Bring a chair if you'd like to sit along the parade route, or enjoy strolling up and down the Hill Country Mile all evening! Our shops, breweries, bistros and more will be open late, with plenty of opportunities to grab a drink, sweet treat or snack. Be sure to make reservations early for meals and lodging during these busy nights!

 Another Weihnachts Weekend favorite is the annual Stocking Stroll, taking place Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6. This is a limited ticketed event, with tickets going on sale November 5 through the Boerne Parks & Recreation portal.

Featured Events

Official Tree Lighting Ceremony – Tip off Holidays at The Rock and bring in the cheer with the official tree lighting ceremony at Frost Plaza on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6:55PM. We’ll light the massive Christmas tree, adorned with ornaments and lights, to ring in the holiday season and attendees are invited to stay to enjoy the Dueling Pianos show, tipping off at 7PM.

Blue Cares Toy Drive featuring Blue Santa – The Rock will be hosting a toy drive supporting Blue Santa in their efforts to distribute gifts to children in need across San Antonio. Fans can stop by Frost Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 4PM to take a picture with Blue Santa and bring him their contribution to the toy drive. Donated toys should be new and unwrapped.

Ice-Skating Rink – This outdoor ice-skating rink will be available for all to enjoy Thursday and Friday evenings from 5PM to 10PM and Saturday and Sundays from 11AM to 10PM, and open every day the weeks of Nov. 24, Dec. 22 and Dec. 29, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Rock the Clock New Years Eve Party: Come rock out the old and ring in the new year at The Rock on Dec. 31 from 8PM to 1AM. The party will feature music from Rhythm and Beats as well as a fireworks show immediately following the ball drop. Tickets are on-sale now at TheRockatLaCantera.com, with VIP options available.

Ice Ice Dady transform this Holiday season into Santa's Shack, adding a lineup of festive drinks and snacks.

Included in the seasonal menu will be the 12 Snowballs of Christmas, a special holiday snow cone menu featuring festive flavors for all ages, such as the 21+ “Cousin Eddie,” a bourbon-spiked eggnog with nutmeg whip and a smoked cinnamon stick, or Rudolph’s Red Cherry Top, a cherry-strawberry swirl with a red gummy nose. The “holiday sips” menu will include cozy seasonal drinks like Nutella hot chocolate, boozy hot chocolate, hot buttered rum, mulled red wine, and the White Christmas martini. The Shack will also offer festive and fun snacks such as a s’mores station, reindeer chow, Christmas cookie kits, fresh, flavorful tamales and more.
