Throughout July, athletes are invited to bring one or more non-perishable food items to support Blessings in a Backpack. In return, participants receive 1.5 hours of coach-led basketball training while helping provide meals for local students in need.

Suggested donations include peanut butter, granola bars, and other shelf-stable food items. It's a great opportunity for young athletes to improve their skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact in the community.

The guided walk covers approximately 2 miles over moderately challenging terrain, including flat sections, rocky areas, gentle slopes, and a couple of short, steep hills. Along the way, you'll make frequent stops to learn about the local flora, fauna, geology, and the unique ecosystem that makes Honey Creek so special. The experience lasts about 2.5 hours.

Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water and sun protection, and dress for the weather. The trail is moderate in difficulty, featuring mostly flat terrain with some rocky areas, slopes, and a couple of short, steep hills. Along the way, participants will gain insight into local flora, fauna, and the unique ecosystem surrounding Honey Creek.
